The certificate is issued by SSAB, which conducts a complete review of the products. To obtain the certificate, SSAB examines the factory, the manufacturing process, the weld quality, the design, and, not least, the construction of the product.
Our TKX trailers are made entirely of HARDOX throughout the entire body. We use HARDOX 450 in all parts made of sheet metal. We also have a unique edge rail design: a round tube made of HARDOX 500. So far, we are the only ones in the world with this design. This design is extremely strong and resistant to dents. It is also approximately 100% stronger than an edge rail made of STRENX 700. The torsional rigidity of the entire flatbed is very high. At the same time, we have a unique design for the welding of the flatbeds. They do not have a welded joint between the side and the bottom; instead, we have allowed the side plates to extend slightly under the flatbed. The joint is then located above the frame beams. This increases the breaking point by up to 300%! This is achieved by not "hardening" the steel at the sensitive joint between the side and the bottom, which would introduce stress into the material.
Dumper truck with longer service life
HARDOX 450 gives you up to 80% longer service life. With 50 extra Brinell, HARDOX 450 has a significantly longer service life than HARDOX 400. An improvement of 50% is entirely possible, but up to 80% longer service life has been measured. It is up to 15% lighter. HARDOX 450 allows for thinner plates, reducing the weight of the flatbed. This enables increased load capacity, as well as lower fuel costs and increased profitability. HARDOX 450 is up to 20% more resistant to dents than HARDOX 400. This means your flatbeds will look better for longer.
High-strength chassis
Of course, we haven't forgotten about the chassis. They have been made significantly stronger compared to older generations of chassis. Everything from frame beams to tipping link mountings has completely different dimensions and designs to withstand tough handling.
All joints have grease nipples. The bogie joints have bushings and a grease channel to the center, which ensures a long service life for all moving parts. We naturally use the highest quality tipping cylinders and brake hubs. The tipping cylinders come from Tubex in Tranås. All piston rods have a hard chrome-plated surface to prevent rusting and also give them a harder surface that increases their service life. All brake hubs come from Italian manufacturer FAD and have internal brake cylinders to minimize the risk of damage and dirt ingress.
All TKX trailers are available with spring-loaded and swivel hitches. The TKX812 and TKX912 also have a bolted bogie beam that is adjustable so that the ground pressure can be changed. This is preferable when using the trailers behind excavators where you do not want to put strain on the transmission. The hitch height is also adjustable on all trailers in the series.
